A true story of the Kovno Ghetto in Lithuania, about the intense and powerful will to survive, told with dignified restraint.  First-hand accounts and first class research combine in this superb work.  Includes chronology, photographs and follow up. Nominated for a People’s Choice Award, the book is now taught in secondary schools and universities.  The writer is an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.
